Accidental Partners

Two women work out that the same man conned them both, and left them both pregnant. What could have curdled into misery instead becomes an alliance, and the film's real subject is the unexpected partnership rather than the man who caused it. That is a sturdy comic engine: two strangers with nothing in common except a grievance, discovering they are far more dangerous together than either was alone. The revenge is the plot, but the friendship is clearly where the heart of it lives.

It suits viewers who like their comedies with a payback streak, where the laughs come from competence and nerve as much as from the humiliation of a deserving target. Expect a warm centre under the scheming, plenty of energy, and the satisfaction of watching two people who were meant to be victims decide otherwise. Anyone in the mood for a crowd-pleasing story about solidarity, cunning and a very bad man getting his due should press play happily.
