Raised in isolation and engineered into a weapon by a rogue commander, Sita learns what was taken from her and goes looking for the man who took it. Reuniting with a sister she never knew she had, she turns her training back on the military programme that made her. Over a generous two hours and twenty, the film has room for both the pulp thrill of a super-soldier on the warpath and the quieter matter of a stolen childhood.

Action fans who like their revenge stories with a family wound at the centre are well served, as are viewers who enjoy sisterhood as the emotional engine of a genre picture. The length suggests a build rather than a sprint, alternating set pieces with the slow reveal of what was done to her. Expect trained-killer choreography and conspiracy unpicking in roughly equal measure. A satisfying pick when you want your action carrying a grudge worth avenging.
