The film sets up a scheme between two women that immediately outgrows them, spinning into the kind of escalating mess where every attempted fix makes things worse. It plays as comedy with real feeling underneath, romance and farce sharing a room, with the old affection between friends doing most of the damage.
For viewers who like glossy relationship comedies that swerve into genuine emotion before the end. The two-and-a-half-hour runtime gives the fallouts and reconciliations proper space, so expect a leisurely ride rather than a tight one. Anyone who enjoys love triangles, big feelings, and friends behaving badly will be well served here.
