Our Review Editorial
Survival turns nightmarish on the open water in this taut horror thriller. A savvy, free-spirited surfer is abducted by a serial killer with a sinister obsession with sharks, held captive aboard his boat as he prepares a ritualistic feeding to the predators circling below. Jai Courtney brings menace to the captor while the film tightens its trap, pitting one resourceful woman against a remorseless killer and the dark sea itself. Director Sean Byrne keeps the dread claustrophobic, turning a small setting into a cage of mounting terror.
Vicious and tense, the movie thrives on confinement and dread, building suspense through a cat-and-mouse battle of wits and nerve. Its pacing is tight and relentless, never letting the threat ease. Fans of survival horror, aquatic terror, and thrillers powered by a determined heroine going up against a deranged antagonist will find it a white-knuckle ride best watched far from the shoreline.
