Two best friends, one remote lagoon, and an orca named Ceto with an appetite: the pitch is as clean as creature features come, and the tagline is not being coy about it. Maddie and Trish are stuck in a natural arena where the predator holds every advantage, and the film runs on the oldest tension in the water — open space, no exit, something enormous underneath you. At under ninety minutes it is built for efficiency rather than depth.

This is aquatic B-movie territory and plays best for viewers who enjoy that lane knowingly: shark-week-adjacent thrills, survival problem-solving, and a monster with a name. Expect quick escalation, a small cast under constant threat, and no interest whatsoever in slowing down for subtlety. Anyone hunting prestige suspense should paddle elsewhere, but if a lean survival-at-sea thriller sounds like a good time, this one knows exactly the job it is doing.
