Our Review Editorial
David is handed a mysterious package to deliver from South America and discovers, too late, that he is transporting a baby Marsupilami. Hairy mess incoming, promises the tagline, and it is hard to argue with the honesty. The comic engine is old and durable — an ordinary man, an extraordinary creature, and an errand that will not survive contact with either — and the premise leaves plenty of room for chaos to compound at the worst possible moments.
Families and anyone with a soft spot for live-action creature comedy will get the most out of this. At ninety-nine minutes it is sized for a Saturday afternoon, and the setup suggests physical comedy, escalating misunderstandings and an eventual soft spot for the little disaster causing them. Expect charm rather than sophistication. A cheerful pick when you want something colorful and undemanding that the whole room can watch together.
