Synopsis
This is the rambunctious, ridiculous and totally true story of how the Minions conquered Hollywood, became movie stars, lost everything, unleashed monsters onto the world and then banded together to try and save the planet from the mayhem they had just created.

The Minions storm Hollywood, taste stardom, lose the lot, and then accidentally set monsters loose on the world — a chain of catastrophe the film narrates with a straight face and calls totally true. It is slapstick maximalism, built for laughs that arrive in waves rather than neat beats, with a plot that mostly exists to hand its yellow troublemakers bigger and bigger things to wreck. The monster-movie framing gives the mayhem a gleeful B-movie shape, and the eventual save-the-planet turn is exactly as sincere as it needs to be before the next pratfall.
Families with restless kids are the obvious audience, and at ninety minutes it never outstays its welcome — the pace is relentless, the gags stack, and there is enough showbiz winking to keep adults amused between the babbling. Anyone who finds these characters grating will not be converted, since the film leans all the way into them. But if you want something loud, silly and undemanding for a weekend afternoon with popcorn on the couch, it delivers precisely that.
