That is the shape of this gentle, unhurried drama, which treats the fluorescent-lit routine of retail work as a perfectly good place to examine what connection actually costs. Its tagline reaches out to everyone in love and everyone meant to be, and the film seems genuinely curious about the gap between those two states.
Nearly two hours long and in no rush at all, it asks for a viewer content with small gestures, quiet conversation and feelings that arrive sideways. Expect character over incident, warmth without sugar, and a mood that lingers past the credits. If you like ensemble pieces where loneliness is taken seriously rather than solved in an afternoon, this is a lovely, low-key thing to spend an evening with, best watched when you have the patience to let it settle.
