Synopsis
Paris, 1980s. When his old cop partner is killed in action, Yvon Kastendeuch is propelled to the head of a new unit : Police Flash 80. There, he’ll have to team up with young recruits who will challenge his old “dominant male” habits.

Police Flash 80 sets him shoulder to shoulder with young recruits who have no patience whatsoever for his dominant-male habits, and the friction between an old-school cop and the squad he is meant to command is plainly the engine. Period cop pastiche with the swagger of the era and a knowing eye on how badly some of it has aged.
Aimed at viewers who enjoy comedy built on generational collision, with the neon, leather and sirens of eighties policing as the playground. At eighty-six minutes it should stay quick and gag-forward rather than settling into procedural weight, so come for the tone rather than the casework. Anyone who likes their crime capers affectionate and faintly ridiculous, with a lead dragged into the present against his will, will get the most out of it. Good company for an undemanding evening.
