Synopsis
When Diem’s custodial grandparents adamantly refuse Kenna’s attempts to see her daughter, Kenna discovers unexpected compassion, and then something truer and deeper, with former NFL player and local bar owner Ledger. As their secret romance develops, so do the dangers for both of them, leading Kenna toward heartbreak and, ultimately, the hope for a second chance.

Their romance has to stay hidden, and every week it survives raises the cost for both of them.
This is comfort-with-tears territory, aimed squarely at viewers who want a romance with real grief underneath it. The pacing is patient and emotionally direct rather than twisty, leaning on longing, shame, and slowly earned trust, and the tagline's promise of a second chance is treated as something that has to be paid for. Expect a film that wants you invested enough to hurt a little. If you like love stories where the obstacle is a person's past rather than a misunderstanding, this one will land.
