Synopsis
Odysseus, the legendary King of Ithaca, embarks on a long and perilous journey home following the Trojan War. Throughout his voyage, he is forced to confront the whims of gods, mythological monsters, and trials that stretch both his cunning and his humanity to the breaking point.

The framing is epic in the most literal sense, all sea and myth and a man whose cunning keeps being tested well past the point where cunning helps. The tagline lays down the register plainly enough with its dare to defy the gods: grand, punishing, and interested in what survival actually costs.
Suited to viewers who want scale and mythology treated seriously, and who have the appetite for nearly three hours of voyaging. Expect an episodic rhythm, a run of trials strung along the pull of home, rather than a single tightening plot. Anyone drawn to sword-and-myth spectacle, or to stories about endurance and identity worn down together, will find plenty to hold onto. Save it for an evening you can give over completely, ideally with the sound turned up.
