Our Review Editorial
Fifty-one minutes is a knife rather than a sword, and this Punisher outing uses the length well. Frank Castle, searching for something on the far side of revenge, is dragged back into the fight by a force he did not choose, a premise that puts weariness at the centre instead of momentum. The register is grim and compressed, closer to a character study with violence in it than a sprawling crime saga, and the brevity keeps the focus on a man who cannot put the work down.
Made for viewers already fluent in Castle's particular moral weather, and for anyone who prefers short-form comic-book storytelling that hits and leaves. The pacing is economical; there is no second act to wander through, so expect escalation almost immediately and very little downtime. If you want a bleak, focused hour of street-level brutality rather than franchise-scale spectacle, this is an easy one to slot into an evening.
