Synopsis
George Hardy is a shepherd who reads detective novels to his beloved sheep every night, assuming they can’t possibly understand. But when a mysterious incident disrupts life on the farm, the sheep realize they must become the detectives. As they follow the clues and investigate human suspects, they prove that even sheep can be brilliant crime-solvers.

When something goes badly wrong on the farm, the sheep take up the case themselves, following clues and sizing up human suspects with all the seriousness the genre demands. It is a whodunit played straight through an absurd lens, and much of the pleasure comes from how thoroughly the film commits to the bit.
Perfect for viewers who like their mysteries gentle and their comedy dry, families certainly, but also anyone charmed by animal capers built on real detective-story bones. Across 1h 55m the pace is amiable, spending time with barnyard personalities between clues rather than racing toward the reveal. If cosy crime and daft, warm-hearted whimsy sound like a good Sunday, this flock will happily take the case.
