Two men vanish into the Alaskan winter, a rescue team is assembled, and the cold turns out to be the least of the problem. The film sets its trap plainly: professionals doing dangerous work in a landscape that would kill them anyway, walking straight into territory that already has an owner. That framing gives the survival material real bite, because every whiteout and every stretch of silence carries two possible explanations, and the film is in no rush to confirm which one is watching.

Creature-feature fans are the obvious audience, particularly those who like their monsters kept in the snow and the shadows for as long as possible. It runs lean, moves at a steady clip, and leans on isolation and weather to do much of the heavy lifting before the payoff arrives. Anyone with a soft spot for wilderness horror, folklore made physical, or rescue missions that curdle into hunts will get exactly what they came for here.
