Accused

An accusation lands on a celebrated queer doctor in London and everything solid in her life begins to give way: reputation first, then her marriage, then the shared sense of what actually happened. The film keeps the truth deliberately unstable, less interested in a verdict than in the pressure suspicion applies, and it hands the hardest question to her wife, who must decide whether to leave or defend a woman the world has already made up its mind about.

A slow, uncomfortable drama for viewers who like moral ambiguity kept genuinely ambiguous and who would rather weigh doubt than receive answers. Across a shade under two hours the pacing is talky and tense, built from scrutiny, silence, and the slow erosion of a partnership. Expect discomfort rather than catharsis.
