Synopsis
Christian Agata, a famous criminologist known for his biting sarcasm and infallible investigative talent, finds himself caught up in a weekend of mystery. Invited by the Gulmar family—tycoons of the board game industry—to act as a spokesperson for the relaunch of their historic game “Crime Castle,” he agrees to spend a few days at their winter estate in the Aosta Valley. What began as a quiet commercial operation soon transforms itslef into a case to solve.

Christian Agata turns up expecting an easy commercial gig and gets a real case instead, which is precisely the joke the whole thing is built on. The tone is playful mystery comedy, more interested in banter and misdirection than in menace.
Made for anyone who enjoys a cosy country-house puzzle served with a comic edge, snow outside, suspects inside, and a detective who talks a great deal. At 1h 49m it takes time to lay out its players before the game begins in earnest. Expect broad humour, genre in-jokes, and a mystery that plays fair enough to guess along with. Comfortable, undemanding company for a cold evening.
