Dhurandhar: The Revenge

The streets of Lyari are the battlefield, and Hamza's mission for his country is not staying a mission for long. With rival gangs pressing from one side, corrupt officials from another and the ruthless Major Iqbal closing in, the film drives straight at the question of what a patriot becomes when the work turns personal. It is a big, bloody crime epic in register, built on territory, loyalty and revenge, and it is openly interested in the point where duty stops being distinguishable from appetite.

At nearly four hours this is a commitment, and it should be treated as one, closer to a long night's viewing than a casual stream. It suits fans of sprawling action dramas, gangland sagas and morally scorched antiheroes who want scale, intensity and a story willing to go dark. Expect heavy violence, operatic confrontations and a slow, deliberate escalation. Set the evening aside and let it take you somewhere genuinely brutal.
