Our Review Editorial
Grief sends big-rig driver Mike McCann to Nepal to scatter his late brother's ashes on Mt. Everest, but a packed tour bus along the treacherous Road to the Sky becomes a battleground. When mercenaries threaten the travelers and local villagers, McCann must fight to save them all. Director Jonathan Hensleigh keeps the white-knuckle tension churning, with Liam Neeson once again playing a weary man pushed to action atop perilous, vertiginous terrain.
Gritty and relentless, the film delivers the rugged survival thrills its premise promises. The pacing climbs steadily as the altitude and the danger rise together, balancing action with a thread of personal sorrow. Fans of Neeson's late-career action turns and high-stakes mountain thrillers will find this a satisfying, adrenaline-charged ride.
