Synopsis

North America has been divided into four main quadrants. A power-hungry corporation has taken over the conventional prison system and made criminals the new law enforcers. The owner of that corporation, nanoscientist Eion Prescott, created a nano-virus called Onyx. Which is distributed through deadly watches to criminals. First, infecting them. Then, forcing them into eliminating each other for freedom. Who can topple the corporation’s entire system from within?

Our Review Editorial

North America carved into four quadrants, the prison system sold off to a corporation, and convicts handed badges: the setup here is pure dystopian pulp and it commits without apology. A nanoscientist's engineered virus, delivered through watches that double as death sentences, turns freedom into a last-one-standing bargain, and the only real question is whether the machine can be broken from the inside. The register is lean and hard-edged, closer to grindhouse science fiction than polished blockbuster, with a concept designed to keep the violence and the countdown talking to each other.

At well under ninety minutes it moves fast and wastes little, which suits the material. This one is aimed at viewers who like low-budget dystopias, battle-royale plotting and the grimier end of the genre shelf. Expect momentum and cruelty over careful world-building, with a rebellion streak running under all of it. A fair pick for a late-night run when you want your science fiction mean and economical.
