Synopsis
A lonely Frankenstein travels to 1930s Chicago to ask groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious to create a companion for him. The two revive a murdered young woman and The Bride is born. But what ensues is beyond what either of them imagined.

The doctor obliges, a murdered young woman is brought back, and The Bride arrives, at which point the film stops being about his wish and starts being about her. The period setting gives the old gothic material a jazz-age charge, and the tagline signals that reverence is not the mode anyone is working in here.
For viewers who like their monster movies remixed with attitude, style, and a streak of anarchy. Across just past two hours there is room to build atmosphere before things are turned loose, and the pleasure lies in watching a familiar myth refuse to behave. Expect bold design, dark humour, and a creation story told from the wrong end. If you want gothic horror with swagger rather than solemnity, this is an easy invitation to accept.
