Synopsis
Sloane and four classmates take cover in Cortege High to escape a world plagued by the infected. As danger relentlessly pounds on the doors, Sloane begins to see the world through the eyes of those who actually want to live and takes matters into her own hands.
Our Review Editorial
Cortege High becomes a fortress when Sloane and four classmates barricade themselves inside while the infected press at every door. What lifts it above standard siege horror is where the attention goes: onto Sloane, who starts to notice the gap between people who are merely surviving and people who actually want to live, and who decides to do something about it. The tagline sets the tone, and the metaphor is not subtle, which is a fair part of the charm.
Aimed at teen-horror fans who like their zombie stories claustrophobic and character-driven, closer to a pressure cooker than a battlefield. Across a hundred and two minutes the tension builds through confinement, arguments, and dwindling options. Expect familiar apocalypse furniture put to work on adolescence, despair, and the will to keep going. If you want undead siege horror with some feeling in it, this makes a decent late-night pick.
